I viewed an archived seminar from the LCC from 2009, which included a talk with Fred Ritchin. His link to this site was included. If I had seen the seminar then I would not have seen this great interactive video.
Truly inspirational and seen at the right time.

As a working photographer and the grateful owner of the first ed. of this great book, I must confess that the beautiful & remarkable cover photograph of "Telex Iran" is one of my favorite images ever! It is a complex image, as was this time in history of Iranian American relations.

cartier breeson ,in his latter years ,when ambition gives way to reflection ,states that photography is a craft ,at which he excelled ,bringing the skills of the great painters, and the rule of thirds and geometry to that little rectangle that was the view finder of his leica ,he truly loved the spontanity of the moment

Ya...Its really pathetic..There is no value for professional photographers..As somebody from 'photo journalism' said probably the emergence of digital cameras has made everyone think photography is no more a costly affair. However, real photographers can identify the effort put on a professional photograph...and photographers should think of an effective way to monetize them..
